Getting Started With Lightspeed Trader

*If you are unsure if your Operating System supports 64-bit programs, install the 32-bit version of Lightspeed Trader.
**VPN Users upgrading to 64-bit version of Lightspeed Trader must also upgrade their VPN Software below

Technology Requirements 

We recommend the following minimum specifications for the Lightspeed Trader platform:

  • Processor: 2.0+ GHz Intel Core-i3 - or - AMD A6 Series or better
  • Memory: 6 GB of RAM
  • Operating System: Windows 8 or later, OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or later
  • Hard Drive: 300MB free space
  • Cable Modem or DSL with at least 10 Mbps download speed and at least 3 Mbps upload speed
  • Trading over Wi-Fi (wireless network connection) is not recommended

In order to obtain maximum performance, we recommend the following upgrades:

  • Processor: 3.0+ GHz Intel Core-i7 - or - AMD A10 Series or better
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Operating System: Windows Only: Windows 10 or later
  • Hard Drive: 300MB free space (systems with SSD hard drive perform considerably better overall)
  • Cable Modem or DSL with at least 25 Mbps download speed and at least 5 Mbps upload speed
  • Trading over WiFi (wireless network connection) is not recommended
