The primary role of the Client Services Representative (Shift - afternoon and evening) is to ensure Lightspeed provides its clientele with a truly exceptional and personalized customer service experience. The position will require the candidate to gain expertise in multiple aspects of the business including technology, trading, clearing, and compliance. The individual will need to be able to work independently, show extreme responsibility in shift coverage, and an elevated level of leadership to be successful working in this environment. They will need to maintain a high degree of communication with both the overnight and daytime shifts. As a representative of our firm, you will need to possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a friendly and energetic attitude, and the desire to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor equities and futures risk through firms internal Risk tools.
  • Take and submit equity, options and futures orders for customers as needed. Prior experience using Lightspeed, RealTick, Sterling, CQG or other similar trading platforms a plus.
  • Use back office tools to respond to both new and existing customer inquiries related to a variety of topics including account opening, trading, customer statements, reports, technology, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and technical support.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and clearing firm.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, software, and industry regulations.
  • Involved in problem resolution and reconciliation related to trading and settlement.
  • Interact with market centers to troubleshoot problems and minimize firm risk.
  • Perform special assignments and activities as defined by management.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor‘s degree in Finance or related field.
  • Series7 licensed with 2 years experience preferred, Series 3 a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and support.
  • General knowledge related to equities, options, and futures trading.
  • General knowledge of the futures products including equity, agriculture, energy, metals, and interest rate.
  • Creativity and ability to multitask is required.

The role of Account Services encompasses two primary functions: Client Onboarding and Cashiering. The primary functions of the Account Services Representative are a) to review and process applications for new client accounts as well as modifications to existing accounts and b) to process client requests for asset transfers to/from their Lightspeed accounts via a variety of traditional banking and brokerage processes. The Account Services rep works closely with colleagues in the Operations and Sales departments in addition to the Account Services staff. He/she approaches each client-facing task with a “Know Your Customer” mindset as well as a “be the customer” approach. As a representative of our firm, you will need to possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a friendly and energetic attitude, and the desire to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Understanding the account opening and onboarding processes.
  • Collecting and reviewing required account documentation and supplemental information.
  • Account Services support functions including but not limited to making outbound follow up calls, clerical and administrative work.
  • Perform research related to clients and or product offerings as needed.
  • Understanding traditional cash/asset transfer procedures and associated regulatory/risk issues.
  • Provide clients with timely and accurate information.
  • Make improvements to internal administrative processes when feasible.
  • Perform special assignments and activities as defined by management.

Minimum/Required Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor&lsqo;s degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of industry or job-related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibits sound judgment and decision-making ability.
  • The strong intellectual curiosity surrounding the industry and desire to learn as part of this role.
  • Ability to synthesize and prioritize assigned tasks - multi-tasking is essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Series 7 preferred; Series 24 and/or Series 3 a plus. A qualified applicant who does not possess the Series 7 license must commit to passing the Series 7 within 3 months of the hire date.
  • Exhibits strict attention to detail.
  • Possesses an understanding of AML/CIP concepts.
